Superstition is any belief or practice that is irrational – i.e., it arises from ignorance, a misunderstanding of science or causality, a positive belief in fate or magic, or fear of that which is unknown.
Filipinos are very superstitious people, especially the old ones. Added to that, the beliefs have great influence in their day to day life. Many people still believe that these superstitious beliefs can help them cope with life; although many new generations aren’t affected by the beliefs and consider them only part of the old ways.
On Sunday, July 2, “Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho‘ a news magazine program, has featured this mother who just took a picture of her 4-year old daughter but when she checked the picture, this mom was stunned what she saw! She saw pictures of broken body parts of her daughter. She had also seen that her daughter’s arms becomes three.
According to the superstitious beliefs, when somebody taken in the picture had broken body parts, it was believed that the said person will soon die or something will happen to her or him.
KMJS tackles this issue and their team went to an expert and asked for an explanation regarding the picture of this 4-year old girl who was seen having broken body parts and her arms becomes three.
