WATCH: Angeline Quinto Climb Up The Black Nazarene's Carriage On Feast Day In Quiapo

Every January 9 is the feast day and procession of the Black Nazarene, a life-sized statue of a dark-skinned Jesus Christ carrying the cross enshrined in the Minor Basilica of the Nazarene in Quiapo.

The procession of the Black Nazarene is carried through town by barefooted men yelling "Viva Senor" while huge crowd tries to touch the statue, reported to sometime be healed of diseases.

Recently, Kapamilya singer and actress Angeline Quinto, one of the celebrities who are devotees of the Black Nazarene proved her intense devotion to the Black Nazarene by climbing the image's carriage and wipe her towel on the Nazarene. She was dressed in an all-black outfit.

On Tuesday, January 10, Angeline shared a video clip showing her on the Black Nazarene carriage. Her caption, "Maraming salamat po, mahal na Poong Nazareno."

As of writing, her post which showed her being helped by the crowd to reach the carriage of the Nazarene. Despite Angeline's initial struggle, she was able to wipe her towel on the image.

Among other celebrities who are devotees of the Black Nazarene are Noli de Castro, Coco Martin, Amy Austria and Giselle Sanchez.
