Actor Pepe Hererra finally said goodbye to Benny, his fan-beloved character on "Ang Probinsyano," a primetime hit teleserye which began back in September 2015, starring Coco Martin.
On Monday, January 9, the cop drama had Benny sacrificing his life for Cardo, played by Coco Martin, whom Benny owed so much to after helping him abandon his crime-riddled past.
At the thanksgiving party held for the success of the "Super Parental Guardians" starring Vice Ganda and Coco Martin, the actor said that Pepe had to exit the show as Pepe was preparing to move out of the country with his mother.
According to Coco: "Honestly, si Pepe kasi aalis siya papuntang New Zealand kasama iyong mommy niya.
The scene aired on Monday, Benny was shown taking a bullet for Cardo. The guilt of having played a part in the assassination attempt, as he was the one who led an armed group to Cardo's hideout after being tortured into doing so, proved too much for Benny.
On Pepe's Instagram account, he expressed his gratitude towards the cast and crew of "Ang Probinsyano."
According to Pepe: "Ang dami kong gustong pasalamatan, halikan, yakapin at awatin."
